Ten Bold Predictions for 2010-11:
1. Kessel scores 40 goals
2. Bozak cracks 70 points
3. Versteeg cracks 30 goals
4. Phaneuf cracks 50 points
5. Gustavsson emerges as a true #1
6. Gunnarson emerges as a top 4 dman and first unit PP QB.
7. Kadri cracks the lineup as a solid #2 centreman and cracks 50 points.
8. Armstrong scores 20 goals.
9. After being acquired in a blockbuster Kaberle deal, Bobby Ryan has a great first season in Toronto, with 80 points.
10. Leafs finish 6th in the East (behind Washington, Pittsburgh, New Jersey, Buffalo and Philly).
Ten Not-So-Bold and more realistic Predications for 2010-11:
1. Giguere and Gustavsson split most of the season with no one stealing the show.
2. Kadri and D'Amigo both have solid years in the AHL.
3. Grabo has a disappointing year and ends up with about 30 pts.
4. Komisarek, Phaneuf and Schenn have solid defensive seasons, but Beauch struggles again.
5. Luca Caputi takes great strides towards becoming the next John Mitchell.
6. Christian Hanson plays hard but fails to produce points.
7. Bozak experiences the sophomore jinx and TML fans start complaining about the lack of centres on the Leafs.
8. After being acquired in a Kaberle deal, Ryan Malone stinks it up and we're stuck with another overpaid, old man with an immovable contrat.
9. Kaberle plays great in the playoffs.
10. Leafs finish 10th in the East (behind Washington, Pittsburgh, New Jersey, Philly, Buffalo, Boston, Ottawa, NY Rangers and Tampa Bay).
